Exploring Singapore Science Centre (12 July)

Went for a "school excursion" to Science Centre on Saturday. It was meant to be a celebratory excursion for "MINE" birthday.. haha... Geezz... old story.. last time I went to Science Centre was when I was in Primary school... blah... blah....

Do I look geeky or like a klutz??

The gal gang had even prepared a tea session this time for this excursion trip. Packed in individual zip lock bags and labelled with our names, we all had our young time favourites of "Hello Panda lah... Wang Wang biscuit lah... cheap jelly.. etc" for us... haha... They even included some props to spice up the outing in my bag... A bright ultra big spectacles, a fake moustache (for dear) and a super bright, ultra chic ribbon.

Alright children... enough fun, let's get the tickets. For those intending to go to Science Centre, admission tickets is $5.40 (after 10% discount for passion card holders and others). Bundled deals are of a better worth. Bundle A: Science Centre admission + Imax = $12.80. Bundle B: Science Centre admission + Snow City = $15 (Fairprice plus cardholders can get it at $11.00).

RUUUUNNNN.. FOORRR YOUR LIVES!!!! Its the T-Rex!!!! ARRRRGHHHH!!!

Phew... What a relieve.. we managed to escape harmless.. keke... Now to the exhibits in the Science Centre.

First Stop: The Mind's Eye
Our mind can play tricks on what we see... This is what this exhibition is about. In the first picture, you will see a sea but when you look into the silver tube, the reflection of the sea scene has converged to form a face instead.

Don't know what this is. Just find it cute for picture taking...

Hey, how did they get in there?? Apparently, there is an entrance to let us in from another side. I tried this too... and scared a little girl who happened to walk in at that time... Is my face really that scary??? haha....

Do you find this familiar?? Not the president lah... I mean the picture frame technology... It was shown in Harry Potter movies whereby the subject in the frame moves and stare at you wherever you go. That's what is happening in the scence below. President Nathan's will look at you no matter where you go... I wonder if this will become common in future homes...

STOP!!! Security check before we go to the next point..... Chemistry Zone

You are entering the Chemistry Zone.. Please ensure you are well insured. We are not responsible for any mishap in the chemistry zone!! Minor explosions are commonplace. Enter at your own RISK!!! HEHEHEEHEHHHH......

Give me a "C" "H" "E" "M" "I" "S" "T" "R" "Y"!!! What do you get??? CHEMISTRY!!!! OHHH>> YEAHHHHH!!!

ZAPPP!!!! Oh No!!! We have been zapped into the computer.. We have to complete this game in order to get out!!! HEEELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!

In the lab of the mad Scientist........

Freeze your shadow... Kazam... Kapow....

The Dinosaurs Are Alive!!! Welcome to Dinoland!

PSLE Science Corner... Found several interesting stuff here...

Exhibit 1: Number of people in the world and Singapore at the time picture was taken.

Exhibit 2: How we look when fat!!

Exhibit 3: Bridge of blocks

Back in the main atrium... Looking lost and in time for a Science show...

The Eco Garden

I vaguely remember that the eco garden in my primary school days was rather boring. jus a normal garden with some plants in there. Not much different from the garden in our school backyard.

Today, there is a tree house build in the very own ground of Science Centre. A rather unique sight.. Do we look like we are in another country from this picture??

CUTE Kindergarten Shots
PRESENTING... Teacher Ms Mousie Teo...

A typical lesson day.. Ms Mousie Teo trying to teach a bunch of inattentive children..

FINALLY.. BreaK TIME!!!! The children are watchin TV and enjoying their break... what about Ms Mousie Teo?? Where is she??

Water Exhibition at Science Centre

Wild encounter in the North Pole....

Amazing Electron

Found this amazing machine that could predict how you look when you are a baby, present, middle age and old. This is how I look when I was a baby. Any similarity?? (Without the teeth of course, baby that time, I am bo gay mah...)

This is how I look say... 60 years later... (FYI, I think I will look much better than this... with advanced technology such as botox, I wouldnt look so bad lorz...) Check out this blog 60 years later and do a comparison bah... haha...

Here's a comparison of Dear's baby picture. I think it doesnt look like him at all leh.... The technical baby picture look cuter. =p

Dear claims that he still look so handsome 60 years later.. What do you think??

This is how people were interogated in the past for information. This is also how some people were killed for committing crimes before the hanging take place... The ELECTRIC CHAIR.. Try it if you dare!!!

I- SPACE

Welcome to the world of the Future. Mad professor Vien is here to conquer the world... WAHHAAHAAAHAA!!!!!

Disco Time.... Arh.. Arh... Arh... Arh.. Staying Alive... Staying Alive.....

My future dream kitchen. Fully electronised. Can even search for recipes, do your grocery shopping, etc... all from the fridge in the kitchen.. Powerful rightz.....

Okay now.. Its 5.00pm... Time for the Omnimax Show.. The Grand Canyon... As usual, the show is rather boring as it is based on a documentary. The Omni theatre still the same after soo.. many years. Its time, they start to revamp the place by changing the chairs to those which you could lie back on. Its rather difficult watching the show in an upright position.

After the movie... its time to goo... home... But its not over yet.... Gal gang had prepared a report card for me!!! yah... Sadly.. Got an "F-" for punctuality in Poly days... Luckily the results improved and I got a "C" in recent years.... Needless to say.. I got As for the rest of the subjects.. haha....

Its very sweet of them.. Winnie even stayed up the night before together with Cony to complete this stuff. They only managed to grab some sleep at 4.00+am!!! The rest of them actually meet up at 11.00+am at Cony's place to do the wrap up. Puifong even helped to sew the cover!! Where to find friends like them huh???
